Tips to Overcome your Depression during Pandemic

Why are other people happy? Why can't I? Why they seem to have no problem? Here I am, suffering and facing so many problems.

Everyone feels sad or empty sometimes, we as human is normal to have an emotions, but we know that we can overcome every negativity in our life. 

Depression or thinking too much will affect your mood.
Here are the symptoms of Depression
  • Feeling down 
  • Losing interest in what you really want, Low motivation
  • Uncontrolled worries, or extreme feelings of guilt
  • Sleeping problems 
  • Loss of appetite ( don't want to eat & eating too much)
  • Quick changes of mood (Irritable & Crying)
  • Unable to concentrate
  • Panic attacks
  • Suicidal thoughts
Normal people always feel this and always feel depressed. You can still seek help to the people who are really concerned about you, or if you think it is dramatic, you still have someone to lean on and sometimes the best way is to call professional psychiatrist so you can discuss comfortably your problems. 

Here are the Tips to overcome your Depression during this pandemic

1. Workout/Exercise make sure to exercise or walk 15-30 minute everyday it's either dance, jog, Zumba, breathing exercises, yoga or bike. Some people that are depressed may not feel much like being active or don't want to move or be productive.  But do this, for your better self.

2. Make a To-Do List be productive again and think about what you really want, what you want to achieve, your Bucket-List with your loved ones. Think about what you are doing 5 years from now or maybe your savings and a budget to buy a concert ticket to watch your favorite artist.

3. Think Happy Thoughts always pay attention to the people who lift you up and most of all, who values and see your worth. It's normal to overthink but remember that it's always you vs. your mind. We, as human are strong enough and we already overcome 

4. Watch Movies and Listen to Happy Music Watching funny movies is also a way to forgot you have problems and always feel the happy music and loosen yourself with the music. 

5. Do what makes you happy and forget the past maybe you did all the suggestions above, but you know to yourself that something is still bothering your mind. Do not confine yourself to the past and it's time to forgive yourself. You have friends and family try to reconnect with them and always laugh with them.

6. Never Compare Yourself to Anyone maybe you saw the hot guy/women in Social Media or someone you know and you will compare yourself to her/him. But always remind yourself that every people has their own journey, talent, abilities, and beauty. You must be contented and love your flaws, it's not always about competition, but about the love for one another. Reminder: That the right person in your life will never make you feel insecure, the right person will always cheer you up.

There are always good things to come, don't bother to think something that might affect your mood. Always talk to good people and surround yourself to people who motivate you. 
No one said it was easy but trust the process and trust yourself that you will overcome it. Always pray because depression is only temporary.
